I slept in waaaaay late, 11:15. when I got up Samantha said "well, look who's up!" it was cute & it dawned on me that she's never said that before.
Samantha & I stayed home in our pj's and had a lazy day for the 2nd day in a row :0
I didn't eat well at all today. The only decent meal was the omlette Ron made for supper.
I thought alot about how much I want another baby. To the point of almost in tears.
Ron & I had a disagreement about if you can post something on Ebay & list it as "top of the line" when it's not. He thinks you can, I say you can't.
I "almost" got my Christmas letters/photos all done.
Samantha hid a paper pickel in the Christmas tree so we could look for it. Of course, we pretend we can't find it for 5 minutes so she thinks she hid it really good. Now, tonite I have to hide it for her to find tomorrow. Hopefully I don't forget! Some game they brought home from school....Hide the pickle (yeah, lol!) Apparently, it's some German folklore where the parents hide a pickle in the Christmas tree and the first kid to find it in the morning gets a special present from Santa. Well I think Samantha thinks it's the best thing since I don't know what!
Got a RAK in my mailbox today :)
Apparently, we need to start eating more bread because we threw out almost a whole loaf of moldy bread. eewwww!
Did some laundry & cleaned some of my basement that was in need. I think I will try to finish that tomorrow except for the storage/laundry room which will of course Never Ever be reallly clean until probably.....EVER!!
Thought about making some simple scrappy gifts (but haven't a clue what to make)for my friends because we haven't had our annual Christmas gathering yet. We always do it after Christmas because we're all less busy. Just something simple to go along with the gifts I already got them.
Had croutons & dry fruit and granola cereal for my midnite snack
Ok, have to throw this last one in for Michelle! lol (since she might be dropping by)
Tried to find Michelle some Springsteen for my blog but there wasn't much. Nothing Christmas at all. I didn't know he did "Santa Clause is Coming to Town" Knew he did the "Merry Christmas Baby"

Well, I finally got my Chirstmas update on here. For the past 2 days whenever I sit down to blog this darn thing freezes up on me. yesterday I finally managed to save a little before it froze. So then I came on today and added more to it but when I went to do the pictures, it let me pick which ones I wanted but then it said uploading for like 5 mins & then it failed! ugh!
Still wouldn't let me upload more than one pic at a time but it's done now.

Our Christmas

Was a pretty good one. Samantha and I celebrated Christmas Eve at my sisters house with her & my mom and of course Skeezix, the dog. A good time was had by all! We got spoiled again as usual. I got a gift card to Jo-Anns which I'm sure will be spent on scrapping goodies. And some cash which will more than likely go towards Samantha's room. My sister even gave my mom & I lottery tickets...which I haven't even checked yet to see if I'm a millionaire! LMAO...yeah right!!! My sister always comes up with some unique gifts. Like she gave Samantha some money but instead of just giving her the money, she folded it into these little origami and put it in a mini Chinese take out box. It was sooo cute! I gave them slippers & gift cards with Samantha's pic on them. Didn't even realize Wal-Mart does that now until I went to get my Christmas cards printed...So had to try it & it turned out really cool. Samantha's gift of the nite was her Puppy Surprise that Uncle Trevor sent her. She named the Mommy *Glitzy* and the pupppies, *Blitzy*, *Winter*, *Mimi* & *Maria* Of course, it is my job to remember the names and which puppy is which, not hers! She also got a money tree from Grandma and when she unwrapped it, she said "oh, money grows on trees! riiight!" and gave a Beevis laugh. Gotta love that Kid!

Christmas morning Samantha got up about 9 and came in excited to open her Santa gift. She was genuinely surprised when I told her she could open it. Like I was going to make her wait or something...such a silly :)
But I forgot to fill the stockings so that was kinda hard to explain & really disappointing but I think she bought that Santa must have just forgot. I told her he's pretty busy trying to make it to all the houses. Then we wonder why kids have a hard time buying into it?!?!? lol...yeah!
I even forgot to buy stuff until Christmas Eve day but by then I had her with me at Target and as I was trying to hide the stuff I picked up but she saw it, well then I had to put it back because I couldn't very well put in her stocking after she saw it. So I just figured that's ok, I'm sure I have candy & little things at home I can put in there....then totally spaced it! UGH! Ok, now how terrible of a mother am I???? I am, I know it.

Christmas Day we spent at my Aunt Maureens. She hosts the big get-together every year for my moms side of the family. My mom has 9 siblings so with spouses and kids and grandkids there can get to be quite a "sha-bang" but not everybody can make it all the time either. This year there were only 17 of us. Plus she takes care of elderly folks in her home. She has a pretty good sized house wich accomodates us all pretty well. But man can that lady cook and along with her daughter Nicole, they just go ALL OUT! Cooking and baking and getting everything ready. I just don't know how they do it because I know I couldn't. The amount of dedication and planning is just unbelievable. Of course I ate too much but it wouldn't be Christmas if I didn't. My favorite stuff is the home made carmel corn that Nic makes...oh, I ate soooo much of that stuff, then there's chex mix, the home made buns and the cold taco salad. And Maureen makes the only stuffing that I actually "like" Normally I'm not a fan & some is ok but this stuff (which is my Grampy's recipe) with her gravy, I like. Yes, I put gravy on my stuffing! Nicole also makes a pretty mean sugar cookie! Whaaaat? a home baked good that I like?!?!?!? yup, sure do :)
We even took a family photo this year which I don't think we've ever done. Not to my knowledge anyway. As a hostess gift, I brought Maureen the Barrington serving spoon from Princess House. I also learned that my Aunt Lynn likes to scrapbook and she brought her scrapbook from her trip to England. It was a nice day.

Monday was a day of relaxing at home. Ron did have an appointment to get his colesterol checked & that came out all fine. Last nite I really hammered down on my Christmas cards & got most of it done. Remember how I said I wasn't doing a Christmas letter this year??? uhhhhh, yeah I lied! lol! The hard part was the hour and a half I spent looking for the pack of paper I bought to print it on, opened & then misplaced :-D
Had to go out to get more stamps today but had stuff to do out anyway & had lunch with my cousin Tracey. Anyway, I mailed some while I was out & just have a few left to finish getting ready. By golly, they will go out tomorrow. And the new year is getting close. I thought about seeing if a few people want to come over Friday nite for some Dominoes but we shall see how much I get done around here this week. Probably will be a very quiet New Year around here also, that's ok...I'm getting too old for all the hub-bub!

O' Christmas Tree
Finally got the the Christmas tree up! yay!!! So this is our Christmas tree, both lit up & a day shot. The red bows are my idea, I really like bows on Christmas trees. However, I noticed this year that the really red bows kinda clash with the burgandy red of the tree skirt. So now, do I go get dark red bows or what?!?!?
I actually have to give Ron credit for kickin' me in the Bee-hind! And we both have to thank Samantha because she was walking around singing Christmas songs. Rons said "that's it! I'm gettin' the tree" and he did. He put it up and I did the lights & bows & then Samantha did the ornaments, all by herself. It might not be perfect but it's ours.

I actually vote for a new tree but I've been outvoted! Samantha actually went as far to tell me that "maybe I'ld learn the true meaning of Christmas!"
Oh Yeah, Samantha what is that?
"To appreciate the tree you have!"
Geeze here I thought it was the birth of the Christ Child...lol...my bad :-D

I'm also not fond of the ugly lookin' tree topper but Ron likes it. And not only does Samantha like it, she thinks it's so beautiful!!! How did I get such a weird kid anyway? lol
Once upon a time, Ron actually went as far as telling me that it was a family heirloom so I wouldn't throw it out. After a few years, thinking about how his mom is a Jehovah's witness, I really started to question the whole thing & the truth came out!! Duped, I tell ya! But there is it again, adorning our tree. Great restraint on my part, I say. lol

And I thought I would highlight a few ornaments on our tree. The one with Samantha's pic on it, she made last year in pre-K. There is a little poem on it something about her foot being the body of the angel & her hands being the wings. Then it also has a little gold halo. The candy cane themed heart with a bell, she also made in pre-K. The little lamb was given to me by a classmate & friend Heidi back sometime in HS but I don't remember which grade. That's Samantha's fav ornament for some reason, she loves it. It's always last to go on the tree & she finds a very special spot for it. She also told me this year, it's "too cute to put on the tree, I want to play with it" But on the tree it went anyway. I believe that it's the first ornament I was ever given by someone, certainly the first I can remember & the oldest one I still have today.
The cherised teddy is mine. I don't remember who I got it from but I love teddy bears and I have a collection of the Cherised Teddies. I also love the ornament with Mary, Joseph and baby Jesus in the manger and so does Samantha, it's one of our favorites. My Auntie Lousie & Uncle Gary (my dad's half brother) gave it to our family one year. It's an Avon ornament. The little star lights up and it plays music but this year it gave out and the battery is not replaceable! :-(
Shame on Avon!!
That's our Tree :)

Well Shoulda Known
that getting any of my Christmas shopping done early, was going to backfire on me. I had gotton Samantha that littlest pet shop turtle that she really really wanted. Well when we went back they were all gone so was glad I got it. Well, we went to Wal-Mart to get Ron some glasses...whattya know??? they got a whole bunch more of those turtles in, we walked right by a big display. So of course Grandma had sent her some money and she just had to have it. I tried & tried to talk her out of it, even offered to get her something more & I would pay the rest! but nope, she wasn't having any of it! ack! REally, I was disappointed. It's not the present, it's that I really wanted to get her something she wanted & surprise her with it. Just wanted to give her back some of that joy that she gives to me everyday.
ok, I'm off here as I'm starting to cry. going to go finish watching Forrest Gump with dh. It's just such a good movie!

Check, Check, Check! lol

We read "Mooseltoe" tonite :-D
Cute book. I'm sure I would be a Mooseltoe for sure (well,if I was the type to make lists!lol) I'ld be checkin everything off as I go & then forgot a most important part of Christmas. As I was making my "to do" list I fogot to add that I have to bring a book to Samantha's Christmas party for thier story time. So that is my big responsibility, finding a good Christmas themed story for Kindergarteners. However I don't think Mooseltoe is exactly what I'm looking for. Neither was the "Care Bears Christmas for Grumpy Bear".....Samantha said when I finished reading it, "I hope the next book has more action!" uh, where does she get that at... I dunno! What a silly she is :)
So, those 2 books are out. check!
My aunt called and don't have to watch Aaron tomorrow. check!
And I have decided not to do a Christmas letter this year. I think that will alleviate some of the stress of having to get it done if I just decide now, I'm not doing it. check!
However I think what I am just going to do is those photo Christmas cards from Wal-Mart with just a casual everyday pic. If I can still get them made in time, I'll have to check into that.

Random Things About Today
Went shopping with another room mom to get goodies for the kids Christmas party on monday ~ I will be doing one of the little activity tables where they make Christmas trees out of a miniature candy & you push a chennile stem into it & top it with a star sticker
Totally forgot it was Samantha's day to bring snack! ugh! When I picked her up she informed me it was her snack day but luckily the teacher had some extra stuff. I guess I'll bring some stuff then to replenish the "stash" ~ What a bad mommy I am!!
Played hide-n-seek today :)
Oh, the Christmas cards & letters are rolling in!! We got several just today. I really love getting & reading them and hearing from everyone. I appreciate each & every single one of them.
Watched Sister Act II on Disney channel
The wind was soooo cold today. Samantha's been using her phrase "I'm so cold I'm getting ice-a-cuted!" lol...don't know how she came up with that but it's so cute the way she says it & that she thought of it.
Well, that's all folks, have a great day :)

Thank God
The missing gal from here has been found alive. That's all the details I have right now but just found this out. They might have more on the news tonite. And even though I haven't seen her in many many years, my heart is a little less heavy. For her and her family, at least she was found alive and they will have her home for Christmas.

Sharing Some Pictures
All my pics turned out kinda blurry, must have beent he lighting.
Every year our local TV station has a thing they call the Santa Show. This has been on tv since I was a kid. They take 40 kids & a day and record them either reading their letters to Santa or sitting on his lap & Santa reads them. Then it airs on the 2 Saturday mornings preceeding Christmas. Last year was the first time we did this and Samantha had a good time. So, we signed up again this year. She was a little shy but did excellent! And she got more "lap time" because this cute lil boy kept interrupting, he just couldn't wait for his turn! lol...even Samantha was laughing at him, she saw how funny it was. I wish we had got her in more years now because she's done so good with it and probably won't have many more years believing in Santa.

Uh, PUH-Leazzzzee PEOPLE!! headlines that tick me off
So, I read yesterday or a couple of days ago about this whole nutritional food in the schools thing in Illinois. Ok yes, I'm all for nutritional foods in school instead of junk food, that's understandable. But under these new SO CALLED! "guidlines" Whole Milk, would be banned for it's high fat content. However, a 1 ounce bag of baked chips or cheetos would be allowed because it would fall in under the fat content rule! Uh, hello! who comes up with this stuff??? Whole milk at least has some nutritional value to it! what nutritional value does chips have baked or not? I guess the exception to the fat content would be nuts, they did say that. So my question, do they want kids to be healthy, really? or do they want them to be thin? Because I seriously know a gal who practiacally lives off low/fat free snacks & Diet Mt. Dew. Granted she's thin, but she's not healthy!
IMO, I think that's crappy! JMHO
Then I have to touch on the parachutin gal who's parachute didn't open and she fell flat on her face. Lives & is taken to the hospital, finds out she's pregnant. After many surgeries, she's doing fairly good and her baby not only survived but appears to be healthy. So what does she say, she's due in June but her next plane jump will be in August. She didn't learn the first time or what?!?!? Seriously! You're going to have a month or so old baby at home & go jump out of a plane...again! NOT BrighT!!! again, JMHO
(Side note) As a parent I feel that it is my duty to avoid life risking activities. Is the need to jump out of a plane so great that I'm willing to leave my child without a mother for the rest of it's life???? I think not but that's just me. I feel that certain responsiblity. And I guess I'm opening myself up to confrontation which I usually avoid at all costs but I felt a need to speak out apparently. Not that these are the only 2 topics bothering me but all that I can think of at the moment.

Random Things About Today
I liked this last time I did it!
Even though I didn't sleep well last nite, still got Samantha to school on time. But then was late getting her to dance this afternoon but just a few mins.
Spent some time getting ideas to alter a paint can.
Still didn't get my tree or Christmas deco up :( bad Cami!!
Ron says Samantha's room is officially ready for paint! Yippeee!
Forgot to buy milk, so poor Ron had to skimp on his dinner milk to have some for breakfast :( another bad Cami!!
Spent some time at Gottapixel.com those girls are really talented over there, I love lookin at the digital LO's
Finished another 2 pages.
Made some pasta with Emrills Kicked Up Tomato pasta sauce for dinner, I liked it but Ron nixed it for the future...too spicy!
Yeah, that's about it, we're boring :D

Awwwww man! I can't believe they are canceling one of my fav shows, 7th Heaven. I only have 2 shows that I watch religiously (no pun intended) and that would be one of them. Darn them anyeeewaaaay! (in my best whiney whine!)
So other than that was a pretty low key day. We had lunch at KFC with my mom. We played Scrabble Junior tonite with Samantha after dinner, she won! I love it when she gets so excited over winning. She's not a very good loser, but she's workin on it.

she was very excited to get her $3 from the toothfairy & she had to go to Wal-Mart and get her some more littlest pet shop toys. I'm so glad I bought her the little turtle set the other day when I was there because today, they were all gone! must be the popular one :-D I found her this lil shirt at Sears the other day, says "shopping queen" & it's got some bling on it....she loves it! Oh so true, she is one! She Couldn't wait to wear it tho and usually she doesn't get too excited over clothes.
Well, I'm off to pout! lol...actually it's almost 2 am & I really need to get to bed. I did get a lil scrappin done today...yay me!

I think it's going to be another lazy Sunday, I wonder if we'll get Samantha's new room done before she graduates high school???!?!?!? lol
I slept in a lil bit today. I haven't been sleeping well again so all week getting up has been hard on me. MOnday I was so tired that after I dropped Samantha off at school, I came home and napped. Last nite as I lay in bed trying to sleep I got a thought for a LO. So I got up and got my papers & stuff out and sat down to find the picture. Literally, fell asleep sitting on the floor so when I woke up about 15 mins later, I just went back to bed.
I was hoping to get an omelette for breakfast today but by the time I got up, Ron was already eating cereal. He's the omelette maker in the family. I'm not good at making eggs, scrambled I can do! lol......I guess I could have asked him to make me one anyway but guess I didn't think that would be fair since he had already eaten. He did make us breakfast yesterday morning tho, I guess that's all a girl can hope for in one weekend :)
I just finished putting some beef and veggies in the crockpot for dinner. I love it when it's noon & I know dinner is taken care of already! lol
Samantha lost her 4th tooth this morning, so some excitement around here. It's funny how just that 1 more tooth missing can make such a big difference in her speech. She's in her room playing her V-Smile and I just love listening to her talk. Too CUTE!!!
This week she decided she wanted to take down the elmo poster in her room.(WAAAAA!) It's crazy how something so simple can make her seem so grown-up. And she's officially left her toddler bed behind too. She was starting to say how she feels cramped up & sore in the morning. So I told her to try the spare bed to see how it goes & she did & she said when she woke up she didn't feel sore. It was funny when she went to go to bed, she ran & jumped up on it singing "mine, mine...all mine!" I guess she was ready for a bigger bed. But before when we suggested it, she didn't want to leave her "lil girl bed" ~ definitely an attachement thing & we knew it but I wanted her to make the decision too. My baby is just growing up too fast!
I had my first room mom meeting on Weds. I get to be a room mom for her Christmas party. YAY!!!! I Can't wait, hope everything goes good.
I did buy Samanthas' gift from Santa ( Littlest Pet Shop Whirl Around Play Ground ) this week (OF COURSE it doesn't come with all those pets, just two of them ) Usually I'm the biggest procrastinator around but it feels good to at least have that out of the way & I wanted to make sure she got one. Then I also picked up a couple of little sets from Ron & I because I knew she wanted those too. Maybe I'll even give her one today, afterall she lost her tooth! LOL :-D
but I think I'll wait till she gets bored first, right now she's content playing her V-Smile.
Well, maybe I'll put on some tunes & see if I can get motivated to get some scrappin done! TTFN!

Here are the directions: Write 5 random facts about yourself, and then list the names of 5 people whom you in turn infect
Got this from a friends blog. I won't list anyone to infect..lol...but if ya wanna do it you can post on my comments or your own blog, wherever.
would love to hear from ya! I always think these are fun just because they get me thinking beyond my everyday thoughts :)
Here goes!
1. I hate pie & most homemade baked goods
2. After HS, I attended a Tech school for Radio Braodcasting and graduated but have never worked in the field
3. I was a life- long nail biter & quit cold turkey for 4 years & now occasionally I do it
4. I love to scrapbook but am not creative, I really have to work at it
5. I can't swim

| Your Nail Polish Color is Red |
![]() How you're unique: You have an incredible eye for style and art Why your style rocks: You are classic and classy - and that's hot! What this color says about you: "I'm smart, sassy, and sexy. And I know it." |
Ok, this one is funny! First of all I've never even begun to think of myself as sexy! roflmao!!! Second of all, right now my nails are all bit & broken off except for the thumbs & their not in that good of shape either. But when I did have them grown out enough to put some polish on, I usually stuck with darker pinks & mauves. Hardly never wore red & not that I don't like the color because I do really like red, I just think it is too bold for my personality & loud for my small nails. But I have a couple red shirts that I really like on me & some people even tell me, it's my color & should wear it more often. Hmmmm, Interesting :)

Samantha Wants A Sister
Every once in awhile she'll remind us how she wants a sister. Well Ron owned up to it quite awhile ago & told her that daddy can't have any more kids.
Well usually she starts this when she wants us to play toys with her but I just don't have the patience for it & Ron has even less.
Lemme tell ya, "playing toys is hard when you're a grown-up!" I will admit I suck at it :(
I never thought it would be this hard but for some reason I just can't do it. Ron is really good at watching movies & tv with her & he'll play video games with her. And we always play board games with her. I can do the coloring books, crafts, games, books, sing & dance so she is definitely not neglected. And it's not that we never play with her, I got pics of Ron all "princessed up" to prove it! lmbo!
And Every odd once in a while I will break down & do the Barbie thing but not for long, I just can't hack it.
Why is this??? Does anyone else have a big problem with this or is it just us??
So tonite, she starts in with the sister thing & it wasn't even because she wanted us to play toys. She wanted to take her "Littlest Pet Shop" hamster house to show & share at school tomorrow and I told her no that it was too big. I told her she could bring the little dog house, hamster wheel & animals. uh, I think that's fair.
So, I say to her "Samantha mommy & daddy can't have any more babies, remember? We just can't and I know you want a sister but some mommies & daddies only get one baby, that's the way it is." Yeah, that's my lamo explanation :)
So, she says "Well, CAN'T you just get a different husband!" ROFLMBO!!
So then I tried to explain well even if I could, I couldn't guarantee her a sister. And my best mommy words came back to bite me, "Well ya got me when you asked God for the best little girl, right" ugh, I plead the fifth :D
oh my little sunshine, so innocent! But ruthless, willing to trade her daddy for a sister! lol

Yep, definitely sick again...oh joy :(
tired, headache, achey, sore throat & nauseated......it's weird that it kinda comes & goes. I was feeling pretty crappy then about the time I got a chance to go lay down then I started feelin real good for awhile...so I wait. Now, it's starting to kick my butt again. But if I'm going to nap I have to do it before 8 because then Everwood comes on & I can't miss that. Maybe I'll go blogthing some more. My computer is being a real arse lately. I would love it if Santa would bring me a new HP photosmart media center computer but alas a girl can only dream :D
