My Daughter the Photographer

Yes, Samantha loves to take pictures! Last nite at the family get together I let her take pictures to occupy her time. She just loves the digital camera. She always has to show you what she takes. Many random shots of books, things on the wall, the sink, couple of the garbage. And of course 15 of her lil stuffed doggie Sniffy! She had far away, up close & had him posed several different ways. It was so cute to look at them. Shows how close attention she pays to details and she is such a "details" girl! The only thing is she thinks it's so funny to take pics of peoples butts so I ended up seeing 3 shots of mine, I would rather not have seen!
She did get a couple good ones of actual people tho. I just loved watching her get so excited over all the pictures she took and the digital camera is such a miracle...delete, delete, delete :)

Cherry Vanilla Dr. Pepper

MMMMMMMM! Yeah, I love this stuff! It's been a fav of mine lately. Normally I'm a coke drinker & I try to only have pop when I go out to eat. But I've been buying this in an attempt to spike sales so they'll keep it around. lol...somehow I'm thinkin my purchases are not going to influence the beverage industry......LMBO!

What Kind of Cute Animal Am I?

Cami
You Are A: Kitten!

kitty catCute as can be, kittens are playful, mischevious, and ever-curious. Like you, kittens hate getting wet. Kittens are often loving, but are known to scratch or bite when annoyed. These adorable animals are the most popular pets in the United States--37% of American households have at least one cat. Whether it is your gentle purr or your disarming appearance, you make a wonderful kitten.

Little White Lie

So my hubby did a sweet thing for me last nite, he lied :)
We went to a small family gathering because some out of town relatives came to visit. They made spaghetti for supper and my dh made a comment about how we almost had spaghetti the nite before but instead I decided on enchiladas. Well when my cousin Joel (who had make the spaghetti sauce & it was soooo super delicious!) asked who cooks, Ron said me. Then he asked him if I was a good cook & he said "oh yeah, infact I'm trying no to get too big!"
LMBO!!! I don't cook! Not really, I make a couple of OK things but a good cook, I am Not!
I was just stunned. It was nice of him to try and make me look good. This was the first time I'ld ever met these relatives (I'm 31) and the chances of seeing them again.....not very good or would probably be a long, long time! And I almost said gee honey thanks for trying to make me look good & set the record straight but I had a mouthful of spaghetti :0

Sis, this one's for you :)

I'm Say Anything. What John Cusak movie are you?

Your Life is Like

I Will Always Love You Samantha

This was actually a couple of years ago but I've been reminising this picture alot lately. This is Samantha giving me some of her famous kisses. She used to love to just hold my face & kiss me smack dab right on the lips. This is also one of my all time fav qoutes. So thought I would share :)

Not What I had in Mind...I think?

Or am I just losing my mind. Anywhosie, I started thinking today that my blog has taken a real negative tone & that's totally not what I had in mind when I started. Maybe I started at the wrong time, I was stressed & sick & just too many wacky things going on. I started thinking about deleting and starting over but then no...ugly as it is, this is my reality. I am so glad to be feeling better today...wow! what a difference. Finally saw the dr on Mon. turns out I have a sinus infection. So got some antibiotics & its taken a few days but today was a pretty good day. But Samantha is over her pink eye & doing good and even got her school pictures back this week, I was so excited for them to come and rightfully so they are soooo darn cute!! Samantha had her 3rd dentist appt today. She got her first full cleaning with floss and her first flouride treatment. She did Super! They let her hold the little "spit sucker" & do it herself. She walked out of there exclaiming..."I Love the Dentist!" & "Ya wanna see my pearly whites?!?!" It was too cute. At 6 1/2 years she has only lost 2 baby teeth (bottom front) but she has another wiggly one on bottom and her two front ones on top are very loose now. She has all 4 of her 6 year molars in and they said she's doing a good job of brushing. I admit, I help as much as I can but I forget alot of times too. Today was a big reality check of how grownup she is really becoming. Sometimes I just want so much for another baby. Ron has already stated that he would request a blood test...lol...how rude!

You Are a Strawberry Daiquiri

You're a fun, playful drinker who loves to party.
You may get totally wasted, but you're always a happy drunk!

This is sooo totally dead on for me. MY 2 fav drink would be strawberry daiquiri's ( with whip cream of course!) and then Zimas, I like them too :)

Sick of Being Sick

Well, since it's been another week since I updated my blog..ugh! Here's what's all been happening with me. Monday Samantha woke up with her eyes nearly crusted shut & of course we were both rushing around trying to get ready, I didn't even notice. Can I even state how bad a mother I am???probably not! So I notice as we're walking out the door. I got get a warm wash cloth & clean her up & out the door we go. As I start driving I start thinking "what if this is pink eye?" Well, she certainly shouldn't be at school so I decide, no she's not going. At which point I start to go around the block & realize...it's her snack day & I already have the snacks in the car. So I turn around again and head toward the school. I tell her I'm going to take the snacks into the office & drop them off & leave her in the car. Which I did lock the doors, so she was safe. I go into the office & ask the secretary if she can make sure the teacher gets them, since Samantha has an eye infection of some sort & didn't want to bring her to school without seeing a doctor fist. Of course she rolls her eyes at me and sighs & is all huffy. This secretary really is a piece of work!!! Usually it's this or that teacher, that parents & students complain about...nope, no one likes this secretary. I've heard tons of parents just completely say what a "piece of work she is" and I've heard students complain also. I think that's terrbile myself but whatever. So then she says all condescendingly, "do you have at least a couple of mins, I can give you Samantha's orginial birth certificate back?" I say yes but am extremely annoyed at this point. I told her I left my daughter in the car!! Not to mention, I've been into the office several times this year & she has had plenty of chances to give it to me but each time she is in such huff & just can't wait to get me out of the office.... argh!! it just makes me so spittin mad!!
So back to the eyedrops... yup took her to the doctor & she has pink eye. Are given eyedrops. Monday went really well, she did soooo good...I thought "this is going to be easy." WRONG!!! Tues she started being all squirmy & said she didn't want to put them in because they hurt her. By weds nite I got mad at her because she was fighting me so bad turning her head, pushing my arm away and squeezing her eyes shut, most of the time they were not getting in her eyes even just a little bit. of course, I felt terrible and that was pretty much the way the rest of the week has gone. she was only supposed to take them for 5 days but here it is Sunday & she has not finished them yet...I don't know what to do, this morning she started getting crusty eye again I'm sure from not getting enough medicine in. To top it all off, Weds I started getting really sick again with another cold or whatever that my husband brought home! ugh!!! just when I thought I was getting somewhat better from the first one that started over a month ago, he gets sick & the cycle continues. So I thought if I don't feel better by Saturday morning, I'm going in. Of course Sat morn I felt pretty good but by after dinner it was kickin my ass big time again! I slept from 8 till 11 pm, when Samantha came in and said mommy I'm really tired! ooops!! Guess it would be time to put the child to bed. I'm tellin ya, not winnin any nominations for mother of the year this week! Then I was only up a lil over an hour & went back to bed which is so totally not like me, the never ending insomniac who loves the nite life. Had a follow-up with my "gastro dr" on Fiday, he thinks it's stress causing my intestines to spasm! Really?!?!? huh, would have thunk it?!?! lmao!! oh, goody me Ü
Samantha is still coughing & hacking & last nite said her throat hurt. Which she has never had a sore throat. And yay, flu season is just around the corner. So yup, my week of sick of being sick, already!

Weekend ReCap

Been pretty quiet actually. Yesterday about 1 pm an Amber Alert came across the tv for two missing 13 year old girls. This happened about 100 miles from here. They aren't sure if they were possibly lured to the mall by 2 men because that was the last time they were seen Thurs evening....which is always very depressing & sad for me. Or they could just be runaways. Either way, I am praying for their safe return.

I did do a lil scrappin on a page so I'm hoping I'll have a page count soon to report to my scrapgroup, even if it's only one but more would be nice. Go Cami - Go Cami! LOL!!
Today I cleaned. My hubby finally finished cleaning out his sons old room. Still got some work ahead of us like patching a hole in the wall, painting & new carpet but it is going to be a new room for Samantha. I can't wait for it to be done...wish I could just snap my fingers, I also wish I could afford to just go all out & make it a mega room. She wants to paint a garden on the wall and sky with clouds & sun on the ceiling. I told her, we would try our best! I couldn't just have a girl that picked pink! lol, oh well! Today, I mentioned wallies of big flowers & she seemed pretty receptive as long as they are big, so that's my mission for now & paint. I wonder what the best way to paint a sky on a ceiling is??? I'm a lil vertically challenged & ceilings are not always the most fun to paint for me. I just had an idea that I need to get a before picture of this room & I'll do that when I get done posting here but as long as the puter isn't freezing up on me, I'm staying on task.
My cousin Tracey came over today to yak with me a bit & bring me a Pampered Chef book, she's having a book party....guess I'll be ordering more PC, good thing I didn't go overboard last week when I went to a party.
I made very awesome spaghetti for supper. Which in a way, I hate it when I do that because then I eat too much, if it's really good. Didn't help that I was so hungry cuz I didn't eat much today. Samantha even ate some with just a smidgin of sauce...normally she claims that she hates sauce! So proof that it must have been good....hehehe :)
Samantha had homework tonite & that went really well because she chose to draw animals. Actually homework always goes well, she likes it. They get a homework list that has a choice of 3 things to do & they get to pick one. And she's catching on to "the school way" of writing, too because when I asked her to write her name on her paper she asked "the school way?" and then she did it. She drew a bear & a horse and I was pretty impressed by her bear, I knew right away it was a bear. (CUTE SAMANTHA STORY COMIN RIGHT UP!) So when she was done with her homework she was drawing other pictures & held one up, it was kind of an oval drawing with a couple of dark colors colored in the middle. So she gets done & holds it up and says "mom what do you think of this?" (like she always does) & I said that's real nice Samantha what is it? So she tells me that it's a picture of her tummy inside her belly & I said "how do you know that's what the inside of your tummy looks like?" to which she replies (lifting up her shirt) "because I can see it when I look into my bellybutton, see!!" LOL...child..LOL!!! I laughed so good, it was pretty cute :)
She was full of them today. When I put her to bed i always go down stairs & do laundry or go do dishes because my computer room is right across from hers & while she doesn't want the door shut, she is not afraid of the dark either. She tells me that if I'm in here the light is too bright & she can't sleep. So tonite when I came up an hour later, I flipped on the hall light & went into her room to put some clothes in her drawer & lo' & behold she rolled over. I said oh poor pumpkin, can't sleep. To which she replied "yes, I was asleep but the bright light came on & woke me up!" lol...It's just funny how kids think

So, I didn't get to watch Extreme Makeover Home Edition like I wanted to but did record it so hopefully I'll get that watched soon, they were redoing a kids camp & it was a 2 hour show. I just love that show!!!!

What is Up with this dang Bird Flu

UGGGG, Ugg, UGH!!!! It's not like I don't already have enough to worry about, my kid is sick about 10 months out of the year with anything & everything that comes down the pipeline. So
This is freakin me out....I can't take it anymore! I just logged onto yahoo and in the top headlines under medical all 3 pertain to bird flu. Not only that, the top 2 national headlines are all about bird flu. And right now, they don't think the vaccine they have is going to work.....yet they want to import it anyway. I wish it would just go away :(
I am stating for the record if we get as much as one case in this state, I am never leaving my house until it's gone. Guess I better be for stockin' up on the necessities of life and SOON!

Somedays Are Better Than Others

After I told myself that I was going to keep up with my blog, it didn't happen this week that's for sure. Haven't written all week, I guess because it's been a really bad week. Tuesday, I had to go to the hopital to have liver excretion study done. That wasn't fun but it wasn't the worst thing to happen to me either. I definitely wasn't looking forward to it, OK.....I was beyond "not looking forward to it" I was totally scared out of my mind. In the end, it wasn't so bad. I had to take Samantha with me as they don't do morning appts. Almost 2 hours & she just sat at the little desk with coloring books & stuff and was SOOOO super good. Most days I am just so proud of that girl, my heart swells & I about cry or do. I feel like I'm failing her alot. I'm not a perfect mother. I'm probably not even a good mother...I do ok. Like Weds when I over slept & she was 20 mins late for school & I was rushing like a mad woman just to get out the door. Good thing we only live 2 mins from the school. I felt so bad for her tho, especially later she told me she felt bad because she was late for school. I asked her, she didnt just come out & tell me. She's getting older and I really want to have a "talking" relationship with her...not just hey, so how was your day. Weds & Thurs, hubby & I had spats so that didn't make those days very fun for either of us....... infact it was very stressful & he's sick to top it all off so he wasn't in a good mood either to begin. Thurs it was all about his 21 yr old son. LOng story short, we don't get along & therefore I just try not to have anything to do with him.....is that healthy??? probably not but I don't see that I have any other options. I would never expect my husband to choose me over his son. Some people believe that decision is also wrong....either way someone thinks I'm doing the wrong thing & I really don't know what the right answer is. He on the other hand he is not decent to me but yet expects me to do favors for him. Which he won't even ask me himself, he makes his dad ask me & then it puts my husband in the middle of it. This time he wanted to borrow my tv that my brother gave me so him & his friends could play video games with 3 tv's. So, it's certainly not about the tv & it's not even about the fact that he didn't ask me personally except that he puts his dad in the middle. BUT It's about a little common decency & that I'm expected to say yes & I don't think that's right. I don't ask favors of him! I wouldn't ask a favor of anyone I didn't like or didn't get along with.....that to me is just the way it is. Then I try to tell myself to "shut up & quit my bitchin" cuz so many people have it way worse than me but that only makes me feel worse. Enough of the gloom & doom.
Today was a pretty good day. We got up early enough that there was no rushing & we got to school on time. Samantha was able to remember her phone # for school & I've been quizing her all week just to make sure she really knows it. Then we practiced her address some more & she's 'good to go' there too! I was hoping she would get her school pictures back this week because I am so excited to see them & it's been almost a month, maybe next week :)
I finally got to watch this weeks episode of 7th Heaven that I recorded on Monday....yay!! I was figuring next Monday would get here & I still wouldn't have watched it. Can't really think of much else to babble on about and my computer keeps freezing up on me so better get this published!

Day 2

So tonite, my hubby comes home and tells me that maybe next year we might be getting a Hobby Lobby here. On one hand, I am excited because I've never been in one but on the other hand....can I control myself??? I think I can & I'm definitely willing to give it a shot! hehehehe!!
So that's the talk. The Wal-Mart Supercenter is supposed to be finished in June & Hobby Lobby is supposed to move into their old building.
Today I practiced with Samantha on learning her phone number. She forgets it so easy...I swear she can remember more of her address than she can of her phone # on a regular basis. Apparently, they get a phone # prize when they can recite it to the teacher. Wahooo!
Went to a Pampered Chef party at my friend Beckys. She called me this morning to remind me, I said yeah I'll be there tomorrow! Uh, no today! Ugh...why can't I remember anything!?!?!? I really like my friend Becky, she's so funny. I wish we spent more time together but scheduling conflicts, ya know. Well, it is 3:30 am and my bed is calling my name. TTFN! Cami

Hollerback Girl

I think I love this song because I always wanted to be a cheerleader. And it's not that I couldn't have been one because I went to a very small rural school where anybody could participate in anything they want, no matter what your size or talent. There were no try outs. But I was short & a lil chubby and self conscious & shy and in my mind I was just not good enough.......so I never did it. But I would go home & practice the cheers just the same. I think I like the coordination and rhyming really. Still to this day I think it's fun to watch sometimes.

Well, this is my blog......

Not really sure what I'll post here. But bloggin is the "in" thing so thought I'ld at least give it a shot. I'm terrible at writing. I always say I need to start a journal....especially to document things that my lil girl says as my memory is terrible and it's hard for me to remember things from day to day that I want to remember. Then I get lazy or I forget! lol
Very odd but today Samantha said ( she was listening to a cd she has of some Christmas songs...yeah if you think a kid that listens to Christmas songs in Oct is weird, it gets weirder, believe me) and as Jingle Bells came on she said:
"This song makes me want to puke because I'm so jealous of it! (rolling her eyes)oh, it just makes me want to throw up!"
So this was me shocked face "What in the what are you talking about?? Exactly what does that mean??" She had no clue. She just repeats things that she has heard, even if it makes no sense at all! And most times, it doesn't...it's just weird! Very strange day tho, she even came dangeroulsy close to throwing an all out meltdown tempertantrum for the first time since she was like 2 but she stopped just short of the line. Whew! I was not in the mood. It was so cold here all weekend, I just wanted to hibernate in my house. I really wanted to work on my scrapbooking. I always want to work on my scrapbooking, it just never happens that way. I quite frankly don't know what is wrong with me. Laziness maybe?? I did manage to drag my butt outside for a while for the sake of my "rock collecting child" needed her fix. Plus, she got to try on her new snow boots and mittens to make sure they are comfy. Anyway, she loves rocks! She can play for hours in the ones in front of our house. A gravel road can keep her busy all day. Really it can! Been there, done that. She always picks the tiniest rocks & today it was 7 of them. Usually I tell her she needs to leave them outside and can visit them anytime but today I was feeling generous. So she brought them in & washed them up. And here is a pic of my rock collecting baby girl. This picture isn't from today tho because it was from sometime this summer when the grass was still green. I did manage to clean the junk out of my car. Then hubby & I got into a slight convo about how much tv is too much for a child...UGGGG! In a nutshell, that was my day. TTFN!
