My Johari Window

The Johari Window was invented by Joseph Luft and Harrington Ingham in the 1950s as a model for mapping personality awareness. By describing yourself from a fixed list of adjectives, then asking your friends and colleagues to describe you from the same list, a grid of overlap and difference can be built up.

New LO for today :)

Talk about frugal LO! I used exactly 2 pieces of paper from my Christmas Stack. (which I only buy 1/2 off! hehehe) the words I printed out on the computer...used a font I got for free & colored it in with colored pencils.

New Scrap Page

I've been fussin over this one for awhile because I had all these tiny pictures. I had to cut out tons of blury background of like 1000 kids. Plus they turned out dark because I used a camera without flash to get close up on her as I could from far away. Because Samantha was such a small portion of the picture I figured it was best to cut them small to highlight her in the photo. Anyway, it's done. 2 pages to my page count & no more fussin! lol...well, for this page anyway :D

Made my very first fleece tie blankie tonite. It's by no means a difficult project, yet I've been putting it off for the longest time thinking

"SOMEHOW" I would screw it up.
But I didn't. I had fun making it, too :)
It's for my friends new lil baby, Cooper. I really do love making things for people but I just feel like my stuff is not good enough. But I can definitely picture me doing this more often. Well, it's 4am so back to bed I go.

Your Inner Pop Princess Is Hilary Duff

"I'm shedding
Shedding every color
Trying to find a pigment of truth
Beneath my skin"

You're sweet and cute, but a little more complex than that.

Who's watching the Olympics & what do you watch???

I only like to watch the Figure Skating & the Swimming. Altho I did catch a bit of the womens skeleton tonite & that was kinda cool...Waaaaaay to fast for me, I'ld be scared outta my gore!!! lol

But I really wanted to see the Russsian figure skater guy tonite who won the Gold. But alas, I was putting Samantha to bed & ended up getting to the tv right after he was done...like right after. bummer!
But we read extra books for her reading Olympics at school, so that's a good thing. If each class room reads 6,000 minutes they get some sort of metal for each kid. apparently they are going to have some sort of ceremony with a torch & everything. The plan was also for the principal to sled down the big hill behind the school but unless we get a really big blizzard, I don't see that happening. Unless he fancies sledding in the dirt! LOL!!!

Well, it's 2 am & I soooo need to get my butt in bed!

Vanlentines Day 2006

I was room mom for Samantha's party. Everything went great. The kids had fun, they loved getting all thier Valntines! One lil girl came up to me & said "I love your hair"...it was too cute!!! I love kids :)
When we came home, I was sooooo tired (and I'm still not feeling the greatest) that I decided to take a nap. So got in my pajamas and laid down. About an hour into my nap the door bell rings. Now, the house is a major disaster because I hadn't cleaned in quite a few days plus I had stuff all over from the Valentine commotion. Always happens to me! Here it was 2 ladies from a local store. They were dressed as fictional (or not so fictional..lol) Norweigan charachters (Ole & Lena)...... bringing Valentines baskets for Samantha & I from Ron. How for embarrassing!!! After I remembered where I put the camera I managed to get a picture of them with Samantha. We waited till Ron got home to open our baskets tho. We both got teddy bears & candy & then I got a couple of candles in mine. When Ron got home Samantha gave him her Valentine before we headed out to Girl Scouts. Then when we came home, I gave her my presents...Littlest Pets of course! I made a cd for Ron and gave him some whoppers & a card. Ron even said about the ribbon tied on the baskets "that ribbon will be good for scrapbooking, huh?" *giggles* yes it will! Can't wait to make our pages :)

Plus, we've had 2 family game nites this week. Saturday, we will be going to a 90th Birthday Party for the elderly man my mom & sister take care of. I have no idea what to get him! that will be my dilemma for the next couple of days. Plus, I finally got Samantha's room painted & carpeted. I am so excited! May not seem like much to everyone else but to me....VERY Exciting News!! Now, I have to shop for a bed (which I probably will wait till next week to do because it's so cold here right now) & THEN ....get her moved in there :D
Can't wait!!!

Work in Progress

So today I am reclaiming my space! My scrap desk was so messy! I had not one inch of desk to be seen for a while now so I decided it was time. Not that it's perfect now. I still have a pile of scraps & pics & paper that need to find a home elsewhere. But I actually have usuable space should I decide I want to get some work done today. I should work, shouldn't I????
