My one and only babygirl turns 11 today!
Tonight before bed I was reminding Samantha (like most years) that when she goes to sleep she's 10 but when she wakes up she'll be 11! That's cool right?!?!?! She thought about it briefly and said "maybe not Mom, what time exactly did you birth me?" LOL!!!
And she was right, technically she won't be 11 until 10:25 pm!
Oh and then she was "wowed" by the 10:25....apparently she thought that was pretty super of me to be birthing her such an hour! lol....good golly,I just love her! ♥

Right Now
Right Now.....
I am thinking… so much to do, so little motivation...all part of being sick
I am thankful for… Advil liquid gels, ..... my saving grace for aches and pains & really sore throat
From the kitchen… .. Campbells chicken & stars soup with saltine crackers and green grapes
I am wearing… brown work out pants, pink tshirt and pink fuzzy socks
I am creating..... invitations & gift bags for Samantha's bday party
I am going.... get this done while I catch up on my shows (Greys Anatomy & Private Practice) from last nite...then who knows but a nap sounds really good but I will most likely sit and play silly games on Facebook! lol
I am reading…The Last Song by Nicholas Spraks
I am hoping… that we get better & can go have Easter Dinner with the family on Sunday. Since it will be at Davids house (he is the 95 yr old man my mom takes care of) and no sick people allowed!
I am hearing… Greys Anatomy
Around the house…. I can smell my oven cleaning itself
One of my favorite things… this week...definitely Girl Scout cookies! Caramel Delights & Thin Mints are #1...yum yum!
A few plans for the rest of the week… supposed to go to a kids bday party tomorrow and of course Easter dinner on Sunday but everything will depend on how we are feeling
A picture to share..... this was a few months ago but I haven't checked this camera in awhile...anyway just a wild turkey cruisin through our neighborhood

Looking for my scrappiness...it seems to be lost
I really really want to get back to scrapbooking on a more regular basis. I know, I say this all the time. I have 2 pages that have been sitting on my desk for well over a month. It actually could be longer than that even...it's been so long I can't even remember! That is just not good. But I am working on it, infact like 5 days ago I added a chipboard heart I came across...progress right?!?!?! lol...my scrappy peeps will be laughing at that I'm sure.
Even with my 2 most actively scrappy friends, Amy & Jeanne who are constantly posting their scrappy pretties...I seem to have lost my mojo. Anyone know where I can get new mojo?? Wish I could buy mojo like I buy Starbucks Green Tea Lemonade!! Yes, one mojo please!! Ahhhhhh & I'd be back in business!
And there's is so much inspiration out there, the problem is definitely not lack of inspiration.... yet I can't seem to motivate, I don't know what my problem is.
So a new cutest lil scrappy inspiration blog that I discovered through Amy is Melissa at Creating from the Heart ...what a talented gal, cute blog & she's giving away goodies! :)

SooooLUVIN' this song today! :)
Ever since we got together
Everything looks easy to me
Its wonderful
And the moment I saw you
You truly made an impact on me
It was wonderful
Right in that crowd
Oooh! my heart was pumpin
Beatin out loud
I like it when you come around
You make me feel so very good
I like it when I leave the ground
Just by walkinin your neighbourhood
I like it when your body answers
Baby, do you wanna dance?
To be with you is all I have
I kinda like it like
I like it like that
Ever since we got together
My life has got a different view
Really beautiful
And when it comes down to it
The worlds a better planet
Once you have been found
I like it when you come around
You make me feel so very good
I like it when I leave the ground
Just by walkinin your neighbourhood
I like it when your body answers
Oh baby, do you wanna dance?
To be with you is all I have
I kinda like it like
I like it like
I like it when you come around
You make me feel so very good
I like it when Im off the ground
Just by walkinin your neighbourhood
I like it when your eyes are laughin
Oh baby, do you wanna dance?
To be with you is all I am
I really like it like that
I really like it like, I like it like that.

FEb 25th Wear Pink to Support Anti-Bullying
http://www.pinkshirtday.ca/
This is actually a Canadian site but I think it should be in every school and in every country, everywhere should have a day like this.
How it started...
http://www.cbc.ca/canada/nova-scotia/story/2007/09/18/pink-tshirts-students.html
Tyler Firestons sings "For The Ones"
Payton Rector, an eleven year old avid singer recorded a song last year called Kinder
My Favorite line from Payton's song....."When we're kinder, that's God's reminder that in HIS eyes we're really all the SAME"

Video Pick of the day....
Because I really like this song! And I scored it for FREE on Facebook because he is an unsigned artist just trying to get his music out there! Frequently I complain about FB but it definitely has it perks!

Mmmmmmm...yummy!
I'm not a good cook & I fully admit it. Every once in awhile I run across something yummy to share. This recipe I got from Familytime.com

Fantastic French Toast
Recipe Cookbook :Jif Peanut Butter Recipes
Ingredients:
4 large eggs
1/4 cup milk
1 teaspoon vanilla extract
Dash salt
1 tablespoon butter or margarine
8 slices bread
3/4 cup Microwave Ready Regular Syrup ( I just used regular syrup it wasn't the microwave kind)
1/2 cup Creamy Peanut Butter
1/4 cup chopped peanuts (I actually used pecans)
-----------------------------------------------------
Directions:
Combine eggs, milk, vanilla and salt.
Beat slightly with a fork till blended.
In a medium sized skillet melt butter or margarine.
Dip bread slices into egg mixture, coating both sides of each.
Fry bread until golden brown on one side; turn and fry second side. Top each toast slice with some chopped peanuts.
Then in a small saucepan blend maple syrup and Jif. Heat and stir till warm and pour over the French toast.

"Dona Nobis Pacem" GRANT US PEACE

Peace in Me
I am very glad that in a world of so much hatred and selfishness I am able to find peace within myself. The innerpeace that brings me so much joy when I am with my family. The peace of my soul when I feel I have done good works for others. The peace of my mind of knowing I have enough. The peace of love that comes from the best thing that every happened to me, being a Mother. And the peace I pray for everyday for the world I love: a peace free from hate and fear and where every child has a smile. I truly believe that we all can speak the language of peace. ~Dona Nobis Pacem~
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
I like to believe that people in the long run are going to do more to promote peace than our governments. Indeed, I think that people want peace so much that one of these days governments had better get out of the way and let them have it.
-- Dwight D. Eisenhower (1890-1969)

What I Believe on Election Day
I do not believe that voting is a civic duty. I don't think anyone should vote based on looks, religion, ethnic background or for who is popular with celebrities.
I believe voting is a priviledge and civic right. If you want to vote, that's great! But get informed and make an informed to the best of your ability decision based on issues.
I don't believe everyone has to vote. Voting should be taken seriously. If you don't know the issues, don't vote.
I think it's a shame that celebrities and such use their status to influence people to vote their way.
I believe we should respect each others views as human beings. Just because we don't vote the same doesn't mean we can't be friends.
I believe McCain is getting a bad rap because of Bush. McCain is not Bush & shouldn't be judged as so because he is a Republican.
I believe the whole political system is corrupt & that is sad. There is too much money in politics. Let's take the money out and then let's vote.
I believe I will be casting my "informed" vote today! Voting is not your civic duty, it's your civic right and a priviledge...Don't Abuse the Vote!!!
--------------------------------------------------------------------------------
Now something that perstains me specifically. Today voting is being done in our city in our public schools. So people wanting to vote go down to whatever school district they are in. I was floored to find out they were using the school for voting during school hours. I'm a bit outraged and have been stressing over it all day. Does anybody else think that is not right??? Does anyone else's city do this? I just don't think it's a good idea to have many random people wandering around the school while children are there! And in this especially big election where if radicals are likely to be out for a cause it's on election day. In the big picture I'm probably worrying for nothing & everything will be alright. But I think better safe than sorry. We've already had to make so many changes to the school in an attempt to keep our kids safe from outsiders. So open up the school to anybody off the street during school hours?!?!?! I'm so mad!
So I'm off to vote. I'm very nervous and I hope I've made all the right choices.
