The first thing I thought of was this Christmas Cactus
This cactus is special and old because it belongs to our sweet friend David, he is 93.
My Mom is a caregiver to David & we all enjoy spending time with him. This past Easter I learned that David's mother actually started the descendant to this Christmas cactus about 120 years ago! Talk about roots! lol...roots! :) Anyway, I'm told the planter is quite old too about 100 years!
It grew and grew and after her death was seperated into 3 plants one of which David cares for. Cuttings are always shared with family and friends and now I too, am an owner of plant with a rich history... this wonderful Christmas cactus.
This is a picture of an old train station and train from our vacation to Sacramento 3 years ago.
And lastly an old spider press that engraves plates for engraving our money. It was on display at the Bureau of Printing and Engraving, we visited to DC this past summer.
